Pedro M Arguello, MD

A native from Ecuador, South America, Dr. Arguello is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. He has been in practice in Houston since 2001 and is the Co-founder of Memorial Endoscopy Center, LLC.
Dr. Arguello completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Clinical Nutrition (1994-1997) and Residency in Internal Medicine (1991-1994) at New York Medical College/OLMUMC in New York. He earned his Degree Doctor in Medicine and Surgery from Universidad de Guayaquil/School of Medicine in Ecuador in 1982. Dr. Arguello practiced Medicine in Ecuador during the 1980s before coming to the United States. After his training, he was in private practice in Corpus Christi from 1997 to 2001.
During 1995, he received the prestigious American College of Gastroenterology (ACG)/ Astra-Merk Senior Fellow Award at the 60th Annual Scientific Meeting in New York, for his research in Pancreatitis in Renal diseases. He has published several times in Medical Journals.
He is an active member of the Medical Staffs at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital, and Houston Methodist West Hospital. He is also a member of The American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Physicians, Texas Medical Association and Harris County Medical Society.
He is the founder of Memorial Endoscopy Center (MEC) and Katy Surgery Center. He is also the founder and President of Ministry for the Forgotten Children, a non-for profit organization.
